DCWB Costa Rica 2010
Day 1 - Arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica. Transfer to the Country Inn and Suites in Alajuela. Tour San Jose in the Evening.

DCWB had an early start to Day 1 leaving Dickinson at 4:30 am for the airport. After a short layover in Miami we arrived in Costa Rica and met our tour guide Roberto. Before we arrived at the hotel we stopped at the bank to exchange dollars for Costa Rican colónes where we found that about 100 dollars is about 50,000 colónes! At the hotel everyone immediately went to the pool for a much needed nap. Later we ate dinner at the hotel where we had our first taste of rice and beans! After dinner we took cabs into the city of San Jose to check out the nightlife. We walked around El Pueblo going into different clubs, restaurants and shops. Our favorite place was a club called Fiesta Latina where we attempted Salsa dancing. It was a great night that provided us with just a small preview of what was to come.
